So i just bought a 1991 Ford Ranger for $550. its a great truck but it needs some love. whats weird is when the clutch is down its fine but when the clutch is released a bubbling sound comes from the transmission. i immediately thought it needed tranny fluid. i made the mistake of opening the fill when the tranny was hot and the fluid that came out was automatic transmission fluid. i drained it and started putting 50W 90 gear oil in. i jacked up the rear end and drove through all the gears and the bubbling still was there. (i dont think i put enough in) So where im getting at is what do i put in? what do i do to stop the bubbling? Your help is greatly appricated!
