Big Blue was supposed to be my sons truck. For various reasons it is now my baby and I want very much to see it run. My wife and I have spent quite a bit of time and energy on this former beauty and step by step expect to see it return to that state. This is a 1978 F100 Ranger Lariat. Right now I would just like to move it forward. Wife says brakes so we will be able to stop once we get 'er rolling but that won't be a problem. We changed the transmission filter with the intention of saving the grit when we drained it to pour back in but there was no grit - there was no fluid. The seal was in great condition so we put the new filter in used the old seal and filled er up - no leaks. Cycled fluid through - right type for those who will ask and the only direction it will run is in reverse. SOOOOO not a tranny expert but have done a little tranny work...someone share your thoughts please?
