Seafoam or marvel mystery oil in gas?
What is your opinion/ experience on adding one of the two in the gas.
Thanks

I like SeaFoam, but I like Gumout and STP also.

I did a ton of research on this. Apparently the Mose effective thing on the market is the Techron that Chevron developed a few years ago. They make a fuel system cleaner but it doesn't have as much Techron in it as this does. image-2662715084.jpg
I use it and its awesome! It's a little harder to find and they are proud of it. I have used the Seafoam and it made a difference, but I would place it behind the Redline.
All of that being said, just a couple of days ago my mechanic told me how much he liked Seafoam and Marvel's.

Pour a case of any into the seats, put down window, throw in match!
walk to nearest store, buy weenies and marshmallows, return to truck and have a nice lunch.

Re: Seafoam or marvel mystery oil in gas?
I seafoamed by the Ranger and my GFs Exploder. Noticed increases of 2mpg and 2.5mpg. I did it the right way, 1/3 into vacuum line, 1/3 in tank, 1/3 in crank (changed oil 150 miles after each).
I know ppl that like the Techron (I work for Napa and a very reputable shop I know uses it exclusively) but I have never tried it.
I've also used Marvel Mystery in my oil and that crap cleans the hell out of the crankcase. I made the stupid mistake of doing it about halfway to an oil change and HAD to change my oil after 500 miles of putting that stuff in.
Some people will tell you its all BS, but I believe in the Seafoam method. I got ok mileage that did get better after I did it.

Re: Seafoam or marvel mystery oil in gas?
Seafoam
Do a "shock treatment" if you've never used it before. Dump a full can in the tank, run it out, and see what happens. Stuff cleans the system all the way from the intake to the pipe. You'll also want to check and even change the oil when it's done - you'd be surprised how much carbon gets blown out of the rings.
Once that's done, a couple capfuls in the tank every now and then are enough to keep things squeeky clean.
