Assist Me in Pricing My Friends '87 Ranger, Please.
Well I promise this girl at work that I would try to help her find a good asking price on her Ranger, to possibly sell to an interested buyer. They haven't made an offer yet, but we want to make sure she gets a fair price for it and also doesn't ask too much. I tried KBB but wouldn't go back that far, and NADA had a low price of about $1700 but sounds a little of to me and want to be sure. I also searched auto trader but the oldest I could fin was a '93 200 miles away. This generation just isn't up for sale very often around here and hell I may even take a crack at it.
The specs:
1987
2wd
4 cylinder motor (not sure of any specifics on it)
Standard tranny
Unknown miles (damn 5 digit odometer)
"Baby blue" interior and exterior
New tires
New wiring
Need a fuel pump, possibly
Supposedly not rust
Small dent in door from another door Hitting it
Scratched on bed rails from camper top (included)
Sounded like a pretty clean little truck to me.
These are all the specifics I know, never looked at it really close because she dust drive it to work often
She LOVES this truck but is being given a new car and must sell.
It's name is Cransten.
I know price will vary by area but any info can help.
Hopefully I can get pics from her of it sometime tomorrow.
Thanks guys, for any help you can give to me and another ranger owner!!
----------
Forgot to mention the speedometer doesn't work. She says she can judge her speed by the sound lol

Re: Assist Me in Pricing My Friends '87 Ranger, Please.
I remember my Dad selling is 87 Ranger for I think $400 about a decade ago. So sad to see it gone. I see Gen I around my area from $500-2000. Most around 800-1400.
