Default Ranger "stuck" after rain

Lot of rainy weather lately, and after a long drive in it yesterday I noticed something weird this morning.

When I started my truck and went to drive, it was almost like it was stuck...had to give more gas than usual to get the wheels turning, and once they started it was like they were breaking free. Quick jolt & then back to normal.

I've only noticed this after driving in wet weather. Any ideas? Wouldn't really bother me if I had a driveway, but I parallel park so I can't be slamming into the cars in front of me after every storm.

Common problem, usually pertains to the drums in the rear sticking due to moisture buildup. I myself have this happen lots in the rain, often the brakes are quite sensitive after as well but it wears off quickly. I can't find a reliable way to fix, it just comes back lol. Unless u did a disc swap lol.

My 2000 does it every time it rains, without fail. Traced it to the left rear drum seizing up. The 2001 and my brother's 2002 don't do it.

My 2001 does it after a good rainstorm. Goes away after driving it a couple of miles. Aparently condensation builds up in the drums. Kind of feels "sticky" I got scared because I thought my clutch was sticking.

I still rage that my 2009 does it, and they told me there's nothing to fix it when I was at ford lol.

I wish I had never read this .. I never noticed any issue with my rear drums seizing up after rain or splashing around in puddles, or even after I sank it axle deep in a puddle for a few hours. But now that I read this I'm going to psych myself out haha

Mine use to do it a lot since I use my e-brake. Ever since I did a brake job including new e-brake cables, I haven't had a problem.
