Default Anyone replace the gas tank seal?

I filled up the other day and I noticed a strong gas small, didn't think anything of it due to the gas can in the back. 3 days after the can came out I'm still smelling it, I go under and look, there's gas dropping from the tank, I asked a friend of mine an he said it was the seal on the tank, or a line, anyone ever replace these? How hard is it? I know you gotta remove the bed, but that's not so much of a problem. Please let me know! Thanks guys

Your filler neck tube is cracked. It's a common problem, and easy to fix.

Would that cause a rough idle and trouble starting?

Nope. Rough & starting issues have nothing to do with any gas leak out back. Does your truck throw any OBD-II codes to guide you?
