Default Heater not working/have hit it get it working)

1992 ford ranger 2wd 4.0L V6

My heater is no longer coming on. Unless I beat up under the dash on the passenger side. Believe its the Heater Core cover I'm hitting. After hitting it few times It comes on and stays on. But now its starting turn off after I hit a bump or something. The hoses to the heater core are on good and no loose wires to the Blower Motor.

Whats now?

Side note I don't have AC any more. Never had it

My work van does that check the connections on the blower motor. Or the connections going to the controls. sounds like something is lose some where.

Looked around on autozone web site and could it be the Heater Blower Motor Resistor?

Might but sounds something loose if you hit it or a bump and turns off and on.

Does the blower come on when the switch is set to high even though other fan speeds don't work?

Doesn't sound like the resistor to me. Even when my resister was totally shot, melted and corroded HIGH worked. sounds like a loose connection to me...
