Default DTC codes

Been getting codes p1443 and p0401. I want to troubleshoot around the egr valve since I've tried to replace it but that sob isn't coming off! Anyways I regularly clean the maf, iac valve (or is it icv), and throttle body.

Any tips where to start or should I just replace a part or two and go from there?

Check all your hoses for the evap system, they get brittle from age and crack. I would start there as its the cheapest route.
