Quick fix for stuck parking brake

Ok guys I've searched and found a lot of threads on the subject but I have a bit of a unique situation. I have a 2005 xlt 4x4 4.0L. Auto.

I believe the parking brake is stuck on one (drivers) side. I can drive it but barely, and the drum is smoking after I park it. I've tried pulling back the cable housing and spraying it with pb blaster, beating the back of the brake with a rubber mallet and yanking the cable back and forth. Can't get it.

Here's the deal, my grandpas in the hospital so I need to be able to go tomorrow if I need to. Is there a quick easy fix for this? If there's a thread for this please provide a link to it, all I have is the phone app and its hard to search. Otherwise please tell me with as much info as possible what to do.

If there's not a quick fix let me know my other options please. This couldn't have happened at a worse time.

pull the little cover off the back at the 6 o clock position...get in there with 2 screw drivers and turn the star wheel back and back the shoes off

youll have to use a small one to hold the pawl out away from the wheel and turn the wheel i think counter clockwise

The wheel? So I need the truck jacked up? Or a wheel in the brake drum? Sorry I have no idea on anything as far as drum brakes go.

theres a little star wheel in the bottom of the drum...that is the self adjusting wheel

Oh ok I see. Alright. Ill do this. Is this something that ill need to fix right in the long run? Or will it be ok to leave like that? I never use the parking brake for this reason so if it doesn't work that's fine as long as everything else works

fix it right when you can...because that adjuster wheel is what keeps the rear brakes tight

Just got the wheel off and saw this hose disconnected? Wtf is it and what does it go to?

thats the vent tube for the rear end

Ok good. And I just pulled the drum and hit the parking brake back with a screwdriver and that fixed it..
