Default Brake light and ABS Light never go off

For years now, my brake and/or ABS lights refuse to go off. Either one, the other, or both, come on and stay on when I drive my Ranger (1994 3.0 6-cyl.) Despite this, my brakes seem to work just fine. I have had my brakes checked out many times and no one seems to know the cause. But everyone agrees that I have brakes that work just fine. The best reason I've heard so far for this problem is that it could be a bad sensor. Does that make any sense? Does that explain why BOTH lights come on? Would it be cost effective to have the sensor replaced in the HOPE that it solves the problem. And lastly, after reading similar posts on this site, do I even have ABS on this Ranger? Thanks in advance for your help.

I've heard of this before and I think its the ABS sensor. Not 100% on that though

My '93 had ABS on the rear wheels only, but I could still skid the back tires. Not sure when Ford went to 4 wheel ABS. I'll bet someone here knows!

This. But normally that would only put the brake light on
