Brakes squealing
I bought my 2010 Ranger a couple months ago and took it back into the dealership soon thereafter because the brakes were squealing and I've got a warranty. They checked it out and said there was plenty of life left in the pads and that it was probably just something to do with cold and/or condensation. At this point, they squeal every time I tap them, regardless of temperature or speed. I just bought the damn thing and the squealing of my new (to me) truck is driving me nuts. Surely there's gotta be more to this. Any help appreciated!

The pads are probably cracked. Time for some new ones!

If the pads look good, the auto parts stores sell anti-squeal compound in a bottle. Put it on the back of the pads where the fingers and pistons contact the pads. Let it cure a little bit, then put them back on. It should fix the problem. Check your sliders while you are there and make sure they move and are well lubed.

Re: Brakes squealing
Your pads or rotors could be glazed. If that's the case then just give it time and it will go away. I know mine squeak when they are not warmed up or if there is water on them.
