Default Temp. Gauge running on the cold side..

I've noticed in the past week or so my temp gauge is running all the way on the cold side, especially when i have the heat on. If I'm correct shouldn't it be in the middle between hot and cold after the truck has been running for a while and warmed up? Any insight would be helpful!

Mine usually never gets up to the middle of the gauge. It usually stays somewhere around the line above the "C". And its running right where it should according to the scangauge. Right around 180-195.

Ok West thanks! I feel a little bit better now, By the way what do you think about your scanguage? I was thinking about getting one, but didn't know if its worth the money?

And yes the heater is pumping some good heat!

I really like the scan gauge. For the coolant temp, I really never look at the cluster gauge, only the scangauge cuz then I know exactly what temp it is, not somewhere between H and C. But for some reason with my Ranger, it will freeze and turn off randomly and then come back on randomly. If I try to turn it on after it freezes, the gauges are still frozen and after about a minute if turns back off. Don't know why and it bugs me quite a bit. Never did that in my last car, a Subaru Legacy.
