Default whining help

When I first start my truck after letting it warm up to where it idles below 1000 rpms, when I push on the gas pedal, there is a faint whine. Sounds like a power steering pump whine but its faint.

Just wondering if it could be the cam syncro.

Also, it idles at 600-700 rpms. I'm pretty sure that's the IAC but want to confirm.

Thanks for any input guys.

On a side note,

The heater core hose running from the heater core to the water pump had a hole in it and gave me quite a scare because I thought the water pump seal went out

Just for an easy and cheap fix...any chance its just the belt??

Take it from someone who battled with his cam sync just about all summer...it would just be a chirp on the start...not likely it is whining when pressing the gas pedal. So id say you're safe there.

Not the belt. That's a different whinning noise (more like a squealing noise). Plus the belt is less than 2 months old.

ALSO!

It doesn't do it constantly. It stops after a couple minutes of driving.

Start up the truck and tap on the cam syn sensor and if the pitch of the wine changes its the cam syn that needs replacing
