Default Slighty rough idle

First off to avoid any unnecessary comments about CAIs, I have one on my truck. It cost me a whopping 25 dollars and I put it on because it made my thrush welded muffler sound louder and nicer at higher RPMs. I know that there is no hp gains or any of that bs they claim. The issue is that I have a slightly rough idle. I think it may be the spark plugs. I've had my truck for a year and a half and I suspect the may have never been change. My question is could it be possible the CAI Is cause a rough idle. I'm going to change my ps park plugs regardless

Default Re: Slighty rough idle

Is the CAI piping bigger than stock? If so the MAF will read the airflow differently (lower intake velocity) and your air/fuel ratio will be slightly off, which is likely causing the rough idle. Try resetting the ECU and make sure your TB is clean.

If that doesn't work you'll probably have to get it tuned. But I'm no expert.
