Default drums are dragging on the passenger side, why?

So last week I put new pads on with new hardware. The drum was extremely hard to take off and put on. I have put 100 miles on the new brakes and they are still dragging.

so today,I backed off the self adjuster by reeling it down (making it shorter) it smoothed out some, but very very hard to turn (it was impossible before) but as soon as I touched the brakes, it became impossible to turn again. Passenger side works great but the drivers does not.

I do not have new drums on yet because I could not afford it but they were smooth and free of ridges. I doubt new drums will fix it but they will be replaced in two Weeks in the meantime my mpg is suffering and in drive my truck cannot move on it's own power,I must give it throttle.

So..what's up?

----------

Can't edit the title on my phone but it is the drivers that is dragging

----------

All other brakes are fine so that rules out Master cylinder

Check the bar at top. Make sure shoes are seated in completely

Any advice on getting the drum off? A sledge hammer is pretty useless

Tap it on 4 corners and then grip the sides and pull then push and pull then push. Sometimes it can take a couple minutes... I wish ford made them to where you can put a bit in it and it will be forced off by a driver... I know lots of company's do that.

That's what I have been doing, before I replaced the stuff, that took me 15 minutes lol

I'm sketchy about this but t halfway through my morning drive, it seems to fix itself, it now moves under it's own power, even in neutral...is it cause the brakes are hot? Dang it

well, i dont thinkk this is the issue, but could it be a hung emergency brake line to that side?

and yeah, my sisters civic had one rear drum that was set tighter (i guess) than the other after a brake job. it was doing kinda like yours. i know very little about drums though...

It's possible, i'm not sure how I would check because it was pretty loose when I put it on
