Think my fuel pump is shot
The other day I was waiting in line at the landfill, and my engine just cut out, no big deal, I just put it in park and turned it back on no problem. On my way home from the dump, my fuel light came on, and about 4 km later my engine died and wouldn't come back on, so I put a gallon of fuel in from my Jerrycan and made my way to the gas station and filled up, I figured I just ran out of gas. Then I put in about 60 liters and it was full, I'm not sure how big my tank is, but that seems right. A few days pass, and I'm driving and I loose my engine and all my power, steering, brakes the whole shabang. I stop, put it in park and turn it on, and I'm on my way. The next day, it stalls twice like that, and one of those times it wouldn't start right away, I had to crank it about 5 times. So today I changed my fuel filter, thinking I clogged it with gunk when I ran the tank dry. That went no problem. However, I stalled again twice today not even 1km apart from each other, so I'm starting to think it's the fuel pump maybe. What are your thoughts?
Also, lately I've noticed that I idle a bit slower. Exactly at 750 RPM in park. And I've noticed that my transmission seems a bit more choppy when it shifts if that makes sense.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks
