(I called the dealer and spoke to their body shop. They said they just match it as best they can and dont have that color information for exterior trim like that. I think thats bunk. Anyone else have to deal with this? Is it just Gloss or Satin Black?

Technically - In heraldry, argent (/ˈɑːrdʒənt/) is the tincture of silver, and belongs to the class of light tinctures called "metals". It is very frequently depicted as white and usually considered interchangeable with it.
So ideally your grill may have been that lighter shade of silver without being chrome pkg (XLT pkg) and was supposed to be more of a conservative upgraded finish without being "CHROME'd" out.
Depending on the rest of the cosmetics; considering painted or covered bumpers, black or reflective headlight bezels, even wheel color, etc.. at this stage you could probably shoot the grill any color between black to charcoal or light gray.
If the truck is a XLT or more package, a black grill might make it look of slightly lesser value to an extent, as typically the all black grills were expressly used in XL packages [think work truck].
Most modern body shops today have a paint matching tool, it basically views the paint from a small distance of an inch or so away, calculates for color, pigment, tint, and even a bit of wear by of oxidization, and maybe another variable or two I left out. It scans it in, throws out a code, they match all the shades and tints and mix it up, shoot it with whatever plastic flex or adhesion agents.
Worse case scenario, you could eyeball the color silver you like best that matches with the overall theme and look and be just as happy in your decision too.
