engine idle fluctuates when A/C is on, engine almost stalls. '98 Ranger 4x2 2.5L 4-cyl. 207,000 mi. IAC was replaced last year.

Clean the IAC and check your fuel pressure at idle. Should be about 65psi.

cleaned IAC, it didnt really looked dirty but put it back in and went for short drive with no problems. thanks .

Figured we can maybe make this thread a bit more useful? What's the IAC?? My truck may be doing the same thing so I was just wondering for if I needed to try this and how easy it would be?

IAC easy to remove on my 4-cyl, unplug electrical connector then remove the 2 screws that hold it in place. Careful there's a gasket on it.
