I have a 2008 ford ranger with a 2.3 rwd and the motor has a spun rod berring. will a 2008 ford fusion 2.3 fwd work?

No it won't, in the ranger the 2.3 runs front to back, in the fusion, it sits sideways, sorry man but it won't work

So even if i turned it arround like the 2.3 in the ranger and put the intake manifold and put a rwd transmition on it it wont work.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's the same engine.

Not worth trying, the motor mounts wouldnt line up and it would be a bigger project than its worth. Shouldnt be too hard to find a Ranger/Mazda B2300 2.3; heck they've been around 10 model years already.

It's the same engine, without balance shafts, with a different head, with a different crank I believe....

Are the engine mounts able to be changed to ranger engine mounts without drilling and tapping new holes?
