mine runs around 2700 at 70, the SOHC loves RPMs, dont be afraid to let it breath a little.

It depends on the engine design. Each has it's sweet spot, meaning some engines are more efficient at a higher RPM than others.
For my 2.5L the recommended shift points are 10, 21, 33, and 40 mph for best fuel economy. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the RPMs of the engine is at those speeds since I'm without a tach. I do have a manual though. If you have an automatic, the shift points will probably be different due difference in transmission gearing.

Re: What RPM does yours run?
These trucks (I've owned 4) have always seemed to run at higher RPMs. No biggy.

Re: What RPM does yours run?
My truck runs about 2250 RPM at 75 MPH and it has that weak ass 3.0
I'm curious to see what it'll run when I get the 4.0 installed.
