How big is my gas tank?
Hey everyone i was wondering what size my gas tank is? the manual says superCabs have the 19.5 gallon tank but when my gauge is telling me i am on empty, i fill up and put about 15 to 14 gallons back in so i always figured i had the 16.5 gallon tank. thanks
truck is also a stepside too

I've got a 19.5 and when the light comes on....it only takes about 17 gallons.
I've confirmed it's got 19.5 because I ran it a looong time before filling after the light came on(estimated the mpg and the 2.5 'reserve' to see how much farther I could go).....and it took 18.8 gallons. Yeah...not a precise measurement...but damn near running on fumes and a close enough estimate to confirm. haha!

I think some of the gas stations just have bad pumps or something. I've filled up 19.5 gallons or so once, and I'm pretty sure that's either because I had gas in the neck of the tube, or the pumps weren't accurate.

19.5 here. Once I put over 18 gallons in it.
That's running it ridiculously way too low.

My '02 extended cab stepside has a 19.5 gallon tank. When the light comes on and it hits E I usually fill it up with about 16.5 - 17 gallons.
