Default 04 Ford Ranger XLT

I have an 04 6 cyl 4.0L with 70,700 miles on it. Recently the truck has begun lurching (best descriptor I have) while driving at a constant speed. I did a test and usually (but not always) the lurch happens right about 2000 RPMs. The RPMs don't change at all and I am not hearing any weird sounds. I had the clutch and the slave cylinder replaced a couple of days ago. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 2002 4.0 XLT 4x4 and have experience something similar.

Allthough I feel it at about 2500 RPMs and at about 75-80 km/h.

Its almost as if its downshifting or something.

What kind of gas are you buying? I had the same problem with my brand new truck. Took it to the dealer and got asked that question. I said "down on the corner". Leanne said "don't buy cheap gas" and then turned away. I fill up with Chevron exclusively and it runs smooth, warms up faster, is more powerful, responsive and gets better mileage!
