What makes an Fx4 a level 1 or level 2?
Im confused, whats the difference??

LVL 2 came with a 31 spline l/s axle, a black interior if ordered, a manual tcase was an option. and some other things that i cant remember. search man..

FX4 Level II got all the super-heavy-duty off-road stuff:
31x10.5" BFG Off-Road tires, Alcoa forged aluminum wheels, Bilstein shocks, Torsen differential, 4.0 engine, off-road flares, stainless tow hooks (on some model years), 4WD of course, and on manual transmission models, that cool factory-chromed gear shift... among several other unique features. Some of these features varied with different model years... The 31 splines were part of the Level II, but occasionally found their way onto other Rangers, too; the manual transfer case was not available after the 2003 model year. Many of the Level II upgrades could be added either optionally or through aftermarket, though.
