Default engine stalls when put in park

im having problems with my engine wanting to stall when i shift into park or reverse.. ive replaced the batt. and the alternator seems to be fine as well.. i noticed my transmission fluid was low..would I have to completely drain before putting in new fluid ?? thanks to any responders in advance. ive been having trouble for the last few months. need help plz

you can add tranny fluid to bring it up to snuff. remember tranny fluid gets checked with the engine running. with the limited info you gave us I would clean and check your idle air control valve

IAC or idle air control

look in your owners book to see how to check tranny fuild so need to be in park and others nuetral

Sounds to me like the reverse sprag is sticking, but that would be a job for a tranny shop.
