| | 3" Body Lift by PA on 2011 4.0 4x4 xlt
Hey everyone im going to be installing a 3 inch PA body lift and i have a few questions if anyone has done one on a 2011 4.0 4x4 with stabilitrac and traction control id like to know if you have had any problems with the senors or operation after the installation and what did you do about the tow package? did you take it off or get some modified brackets so the tow package was level with the body after the lift or if you just left it a few inches below the body?

ive heard both stories that you can do it with the sensors and you cant so im not sure and for the hitch most people leave it the way it is or if you want it up to the bumper you have to cut of the oem bracket and weld/make new brackets.

Thanks man that helps a lot i am also wondering how it is running 33 inch tires with the stock rear end... What is your gear ratio and how does your truck do hauling the bigger tires if you do still have a stock rear end? On the inside of my door it says my 2011 4x4 xlt has a 3.55 axel ratio and I've been told on here i should have a 4.10 for 31" tires and a 4.56 if i wanna run 33" my truck is the 4.0l v6 some other people have told me i don't need to upgrade my gears because the 4.0l has enough power to turn the larger wheels without and problems. Any input would be greatly appreciated, again thanks for the mod photos and help with the OEM hitch

3.55: maximum 32 inch tires
3.73: maximum 33 inch tires
4.10: maximum 35 inch tires (not recommended, but has been done)
These numbers are based on a newer 4.0 sohc and a low mileage 5r55e tranny. I would run 32's max if I had 3:55's or I would re-gear.
Here is my current truck. 2007 fx4 4.0 with 4.10 gear ratio and 33x12.50 KM2's

I'm only looking to run 31's so i should have no problem in the future maybe ill up my ratio to 4.10 but ill see i don't mind running with stock tires but if a person installs a small lift ex PA 3" 29" wheels will look weird on the truck.

Just a tbar crank. 3.73's do fine with 31-33's in my experience (been driving, lifting rangers since 2003) all I have is a PA body lift with 33's and they look a little small. If I had your truck I would do a pa body lift and 32x11.50's or 285/75r16's

And its good to hear that i can run 31's with my stock gear ratio i dont think ill be doing the 3" PA bl till my warranty is up at 100,000km im running the stock rims for the 2011 xlt im not sure how wide they are but would you recommend going to something a bit wider for the 31 inch tires?

The reason i ask is because i have a buddy who has a 2011 sport and he has 33's on there but all he did was a tbar crank in the front end to level his ranger out and he has rub on left and right turns casual ones i might add. I have 16x8 wheels and 30.7 inch tires i am running stock right now no tbar crank or anything but i will be getting a tbar crank right away do you think ill have any issues with rub? until i get the crank or is it a wise idea to get the crank as soon as i get the new wheels and tires on so i dont get any rub for sure and wreck my tires

Lol. 33's are too big without a lift. Just crank your tbars yourself. There is a how to on the site. No. I had stock 255/70/16's (30.7") on my 2010 and they didn't rub at all. Obviously.
