I need to flush my system. The truck has 73,XXX on it and brakes feel like they have never been flushed. Anyone running DOT 4 fluid in their's? I have used it in my Subaru and Lightning before (Amsoil 600 DOT 4 fluid to be exact). Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

I think I run DOT 4? lol. I honestly don't remember. Vavoline synthetic dot 4 I believe and I don't notice a difference.

I'd grab a quart and maybe a little bottle...IDK the system size. and IMO, this tool is worth its weight in gold!!

Dump the fluid in the bottle, pump it up to 15lbs, open a bleeder til all the old gunk is out, bleed the rest. done! 1 man bleeding. Wish the little brother didn't get the friggin' huge bottle though!

synthetic brake fluid will NOT boil that's a good thing. I have a Jeep J10, Ive converted it to run on propane, use all synthetic fluids (eng. oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, auto transmission and transfer case, and both axles, to include synthetic grease in the wheel bearings.) So theoretically Im not using any fossil fuels or oil. I use it mostly off road although it is licensed & insured.
My Ranger will get about the same treatment. synthetics where I can use them, wont do the propane thing though.
