Default Where is Heater Control Valve on 4.0L 6cyl 1994 Ranger

Hi,
Can anyone help? Can anyone tell me where the Heater Control Valve is on a 1994 4.0L 6cyl 2WD Ranger? I cannot find it.

I am having a problem with the heater not heating well. I live in southern CA where the weather is very mild but the heater would still be nice to get working again.

Here is what I have done already:
  • Last summer replaced water pump at ~150k miles
  • Have not used heater until recently and now it does not work very well, but worked great last winter
  • Checked thermostat in pot of water on stove, opened about 180F and closed (replaced 30k miles ago, no corrosion on it)
  • One hose to heater core gets hot, one gets warm
  • Flushed heater core until ran clear (didn't take much), still only one hose gets hot
  • Temperature gauge in cab of truck barely moves, but does move a little

I have not checked the heater control valve because I can't find on on this truck. Does it have one?

Link in my signature for my heat troubleshooting guide. Yes you have a valve, but it is only for shutting the hot water off when the HVAC control is in OFF or MAX AC.
