Default obd2 scan tool

where do u hook up the obd2 scan tool on a 94 ranger i looked around underneath the dash on drivers side and couldnt find it anywhere

It all depends what time in 94 the truck was built OBDII didn't become standard till late 94

I'm like 95% sure that you don't have OBD 2. It didn't become federal law to have until 1996. You should still have an OBD 1 connector, but it won't be the 16 pin connector that OBD 2 has. I believe, but am not entirely sure that your connector should be somewhere in the driver side engine compartment near the firewall on the fender. It could be on the passenger side though, I can't remember for sure.

ok thanks i did find it, its on the drivers side fender near the firewall

all 96 and up are ODBII cali went to it in 95 I belive
