Will this filler neck work for my '97 flareside?

Most hoses that fit standard beds state they don't fit flareside, but I am not finding any options for the flareside bed. I read somewhere that this item could be cut down to fit, anyone else tried this?

Sounds like they arent sure either. I have seen them on ebay, pretty cheap and just make sure it says it will fit the flareside. Some have comparison charts listed with the auction and make sure it comes with a warranty where if it doesnt fit then you can get your money back

if it fits a long bed, then it won't work on a stepside. long beds and short fleet fuel fillers are longer than the step side. i would say no, it won't.
