It's a 2001. I've been driving it regularly, then all the sudden it wouldn't crank. I thought it was the fuel pump, but when you turn the key the pump squirts full stream for just a second or 2, then it shuts off. What else could it be?

It doesn't crank, but you think its the fuel pump????? The fuel pump has nothing to do with cranking the engine over. If its not cranking, either your battery is dead, the relay in the power distro box is bad, the starter is bad, a fuse is blown, or the ignition switch is bad. Or you have a corroded cables/connectors.

I would say check the starter first , then the silinod . then the battery and fuses . I dont think it is the battery because you say you have power at the fuel pump . when you turn the key to start do you hear a click , if you have no click , i would say check the starter silinod
