Post Distance Until Empty
Once my gas light goes on how many miles do I realistically have until I need to fill up? I have a 2011 4.0 Standard shift, does the owners manual say?

Once my light comes on I can go anywhere from 15 to 60 miles depending on whether Im doing all stop-and-go, or all highway, or a mix of the two.
And you have to take into account the type of driving you did on that entire tank, as well as the type of driving you're going to do after the light comes on

I was coming back from Kansas City and when the light came on I continued for about 80 miles.

o lol i don't know then, never went empty in the ranger but in my 2000 explorer it was the check gauge light

I cant go more then 25 miles when my check gauges light comes on

My check gage lights comes on with about 40-50 miles left max given how I drive. Your mileage may vary.

Rule of thumb......when the fuel light illuminates put some gas in it., then the light turns off!!
My fuel light comes on at about 5 gallons left but I still know how to read the gauge.
