Default 1999 ranger xlt 4x4 hard shift and abs

Hey everyone, I just got my first truck a few months back. The abs light is on and there is a hard shift from first to second. I googled this and I guess it is a common problem with this year of truck. The thing is, people were saying it is most likely the abs sensor, vehicle speed sensor, or rear abs wheel speed sensor.

When i went to Napa to order the part they had two different parts. There was a 'rear abs sensor', and a 'vehicle speed sensor'. I wasn't sure which one i'm looking for.. i'm hoping someone can clarify this for me, because I don't have much experience with this stuff :/ I almost just bought both.

so all in all:
there is a hard shift from 1st to 2nd.
abs light is on.
speedometer is NOT broken.
which part do i need?

I should also mention the engine light is not on. I thought at first I might have to replace the transmission (hoping thats not the case)

Thanks in advance, I feel like its an idiotic question. I would really appreciate any help
