Because they are trucks and that is what they were built for. There is a big difference between off roading and abusing.

This makes the most sense to me, especially if it doesn't mess with anything else. I don't have these problems with my truck really lol but a trailblazer we have with all this SUCKS at times. It's almost had me go off your path when u try and "power through" a turn in the snow an it brakes certain wheels and u go straight....

Just my two cents

Good stuff guys. Welp, havent taken care of the annoying TC yet but its been winter so I havent really thought of it. I've been poking around other forums I found that mustang guy especially hate this thing and theyve been getting ride of it since like 2001. They seem to be buying tunners to perminantly disable it or at least set it so that when you turn it off it stays off. This appeals to me alot more then pulling any wires and loosing cruise control. And i can deal with abs its alittle annoying but its saved me a time or two.

It is like have a nanny in the car. I would prefer to be able to control my own vehicle. I have owned cars with and without it and much prefer without it. All of my current vehicles have the ABS disabled and never had TCS to begin with.

lol yeah yeah yeah we've all seen your 05...its gorgeous hah. i appreciate the support, everybodys got the right to do whatever they want with their truck im just surprised so many people disapprove of taking a 4x4 ranger off road. I work the ranger hard but i wouldnt call it abuse, i legitimately love the little, slow, inefficient, underpowered, plastic piece of crap, its my baby. I dont mind the dents and scratches, it may not be as pretty but its proven.
When i said i'd check out the turners...i didnt realize the generally coast about $350+ off ebay soo i was thinking about asking a shop to pull it off. This truck is also my DD so i'm trying to keep it street legal for now which means no pulling wires.

This was my thought as well. No fuse pulled, no annoying light on the dash and the government mandated BS is ignorantly cruising along thinking all is well. On all of them that I have seen the gears are identical side to side. My brother is good with electrical stuff, and he hates this crap so have him look at this idea.

I just had my first experiance with this crap. Hit a sand wash at the bottom of a hill at speed to make the hill and all kinds of crap was going on. Truck was very hard to control and the damn motor died basically, had to back down and run it again with the button pushed, and still it sucked. This is a hill I have done in my van many times with no problem. Crap! Government needs to stay out of my life. Whatever they touch they screw up.
