Default squeaking while turning

i noticed today that when i turn, i can hear a squeaking coming from my front passenger wheel (i believe) it happens when i turn the wheel even while parked. any ideas what this could be? all my fluids are full and everything seems to be running normally

Have you had the truck up on jack with the tire off. With some one turning the steering wheel?

If not try that and see if you see any thing or can pin point the location.

I had a similar experience with my truck. Try spraying some WD-40 in the lower ball joints and see if the squeak goes away and if there is a shudder when turning. If it does, they probobly are the coulprit.

Mine squeaked when I turned the wheel like you describe. The rubber boot had been broken and eventually things just wore out. I went ahead and replaced both upper and lowers. The lowers I pressed out then pressed new Moogs back in using a rental press tool. The uppers I bought the the upper control arm with ball joint in it.

ive been reading other threads about this and many agreed it was probably ball joints. i bought a needle attachment for my grease gun, punctured the boot and put a bunch of grease in all four joints. squeak stopped! think this is a good enough fix, or should i still replace them all? a 5 dollar needle sounded a lot better than hundreds for replacements..

Greasing it up may have made the "squeak" go away, but it tells you nothing about the state of the ball joints.

Jack up the truck and check your wheels for any play in the ball joints and the steering - that's the only way you'll be able to tell for sure.

I had that problem, but mine was a cornstalk in just the right place that is rubbed in the brake disc when I turned to the right. Check and see if something is stuck or wedged somewhere it shouldn't be.

greased the ball joints and the squeak has stopped. figure i'll let that be enough until i get some spare cash and then maybe i'll venture to actually replace them

I did the same fix with mine. But it was only temporary. A month later they were shot. The wear was already there. I replaced all of mine with Moog and couldn't be happier. Lifetime warranty plus grease fittings.
