replacing all possible parts from 04 reg cab to 99 ext cab from bumper to bumper

recently purchased 04 ranger unfortunatly there was an issue with the salvage title and couldnt get registration then bought 99 ranger wanting to use every possible part from 04 on the 99 from interior, body panels, motor, tranny, and wiring where needed even if it means some modding both are in great shape and run fine i just like the 04 look better and prefer the v6 and auto tranny...im an industrial mechanic/electrician/fabricator but have not worked on vehicles much so all input is appreciated also am noob so if any more info is needed to help me just ask will post pics soon...should be a good project for everyone here to learn a lil sumthin

Juat swap dashes. Then you will have a clean truck

i really want 01-03 grille and headlights on mine. already looking for the hood but anyways let us know how hard the swap was

also with the vin on the frame deal, is it really that big o'deal...???? If you get stopped by the police, there just going to check the number on the dash. what else do you really need...???? registration matches the plate, plate matches vin, no problems there!

If you get caught with mismatched vins they impound the truck. If you can prove ownership of both VINs you're ok but if he's having reg problems on one I doubt he would get the truck back. Just a worst case scenario

so far the hood and grill look to be a pretty simple task with minor mods for remounting....but we shall see

also as far aas the vin i considered it but the good title is to the 99 ext cab and thats what i want 04 is reg cab....and 04 looks much better so thats what began this project and registration would say ext cab but dont think it didnt cross my mind...lol
