Default How to lift your truck on jackstands? (lift points)

Okay i know this a dumb question! i want to know how to lift my truck PROPERLY onto 4 jackstands

a few days ago i was gonna start with the rear and couldnt decide where to jack it up at so ended up using the hitch...i maxed out my jack and my jack stands would not fit under, didnt even get the tires off the ground! i wasnt sure if i can use the axle to lift it up esp since it would not be centered?

what he said for the rear works, and then on the front either the side on the frame, or on your lower control arms there are lift points for the stock jack. check out the owners manual for those, but on your edge iirc they're on the insides of the LCAs right by the frame on the front, they should be like 'ears' that stick out. then put the jack stands under the frame and you're good to go

Put the jack under the punpkin, lift away as high as you can, throw stands under the axle tubes right at the leaf perches, and go to town.

You are fine to lift it on the diff... it has been being done for years and will continue to be. I have been working on cars/ trucks for years and have always lifted rear ends of trucks by the diff, it won't do any harm.
