Default cranks over strong, but won't fire

Drove to work running fine, came out after work and truck cranks strong, but won't fire. No previous symptoms. Where should I start? Hopefully ya'll have a simple and inexpensive fix for me!

Sounds like a crank or cam sensor died. I can't ever remember which controls the fire.

yep sounds like the CKP sensor took a dump.

CKP is located on engine front cover.
Unplug the connector, remove the sensor cover, if equipped, remove the sensor retaining bolt, remove the sensor. Reverse to reinstall. No torque spec, tighten all bolts until snug.

Really no way to check it, RR it and try to start your truck. the sensor is not that expensive, so just RR and see if that helps.

check for a spark. if you got no spark is most likley your Crankshaft sensor.

Your looking at a $25~$30 part. 2 bolts and a connector.

listen to make sure the fuel pump is coming on. We had a strange thing with demons truck today. Just took his subs out and managed to trip the inertia switch

Go buy you a Haynes manual it will show you how to troubleshoot and test most of the different sensors using an ohm meter.
read the manual before you start tinkering you can damage the computer and sensors in a flash. The crankshaft position sensor is a booger to replace you have to remove the timing belt cover and fish the wiring harness behind the timing belt around the pulleys through the top of the inside timing cover under the a/c compressor and plug it into the harness at the ICM (ignition control module) they cost about 130 bucks so you don't want to replace needlessly. Been there done that.

Turn the radio, and anything else off that comes on when you put in the key, and turn it to the igniton start. Turn it off, and then on again (with no radio, etc. on), and listen carefully for the fuel pump to buzz. I f not, it may be dead. Also check inertia switch, also remember that if you don't have these three; fuel, air, and spark, you won't have start.
