Default Power to Manual steering

Hey guys, I'm in the process of putting in a 4BT in my 97 ranger. I want to take out the power steering and put in a manual box. What years can I take a manual rack out of? This should be a bolt it swap right? Thanks for the help.

I know some of you may think this is a dumb idea, please keep your opinions to yourself, I'm looking for help, not opinions.

Its simply to lighten up the front end just a bit, I've had a manual steer ranger before and wasn't too bad. Plus its fewer things to have to worry about during the swapt.

I have a friend with the 4bt swap, trust me, with the added weight, your gonna want power steering, and if you put a 4bt, lightening up the front end is not really an option.
