Default Fast idle problem

I have an idle problem with my 93 Ranger, 2-wheel drive, 3.0 V6, auto.
I can not get it to idle down, which makes for a problem when putting it in gear.
I have had it in two shop and between them have changed out virtually all sensors (IAC, MAC, O2 sensor, plus all vacuum lines, with a smoke test for leaks, hotter thermostat, and several other items along the way, with no change. As you know there is no mechanical method by which to lower idle.
Has anyone had this problem, if so what was you solution?
The idle will not come down regardless of how long I let it idle at standing, but will eventually lower after driving it several miles.

try cleaning your throttle body...might be some carbon build up preventing the butterfly valve from closing completely...does it only happen when the truck is cold?

Would using a fuel additive help? I sometimes dump in some Marvel
Mystery oil or Techron. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Idle is ok after warm-up but 12-1300 rpm when started. Really slams
into gear!
