Just the cab, One yard told me the doors were diffrent and the only thing I see diffrent is that the Mazda door have chrome trim around the windows, and i think the rear view mirrow is a little diffrent, But that is not aproblem for me since I have three good doors. But look on ebay and inside door panels will inner change. Other than that I compared another Mazda I have side by side with Ranger and is see no diffrence in any of the body lines, or anything from what I could see, I have been doing body work for 20 years and have delevoped a pretty good I eye for that, but with my experince with Ford is something could look the same, but when you go to inner change something is just a little Diffrent perventing from doing so.

What is concerning me is that 99 and up Mazda had options with either movable glass or not for Cab plus with rear doors or no doors. But what concerns me is how the doors mount since my Mazda has rear doors. Other than it looks to me its just a matter of taking the chrome from a Mazda door, and apply it the Ranger door, and paint the area inside the chrome satin black, and swaping mirrors on the fronts. Also some one posted on another site that the seats mount a little diffrent, but could easly be modified.

I estimate this truck is 85% Ranger, but the other 15% concerns me. this truck is also Manufactured by Ford, not Mazda. it would be easier just to get a Mazda cab, but Rangers are just so much more plentiful around here, but I'm not sure which year models will inner change, or which ones would be best if at all.

Interesting stuff. When a guy with 20 years of body work experience says it's complicated then it's complicated.

As you said tho, the fact that most of the interior panels are interchangeable is a good indication that the cabs are at least really close. I'm thinking if you get a Ranger cab the same years production run with the same door options then it'll probably work.

Curious about the interior now... I'll post some interior pics of our B3000 and maybe the Ranger guys can take a look and spot any differences.

Sorry for the thumbnails, guess I should start another host account.

It's a 2000 reg. cab B3000 4x4 auto, basic no power stuff no options except the CD player. What are the differences from a Ranger?

I've got a 94 B3000, and i'm seriously considering replacing the entire header panel, headlights, grille ect.. but i'm not sure if the header panels are interchangeable, i read somewhere that they were, but just by looking at the fronts of the ranger and b-series, they look different. does anyone have an idea about the header panels?

Id also like to keep this thread going since I was about to start my own 'Mazda / Ford' comparison thread.

I have the 2003 B3000 Auto 4x2 extended cab. Im wanting to know what bed liners swap, bed rails, tail gate options, fender flares, brake packages, etc. I also am looking at some interior parts as well.

Im really surprised there arent more Mazda guys posting 'whats compatible' threads as I search the forum. But Im new here and could just be missing something (even though I use the Search feature on all my forums :P)

I havea 96 Mazda B3000/99 Ranger XLT conversion , the 99 parts that I used are , the complete front clip and step side box . the doors on my truck are from a 04 ranger , the mirrors are from a 05 ranger .
the drive shaft is from the 99 ,it is a one piece aluminium 3 inch dia , I need to trim a bit of on of the cross braces in the trans tunnel as the shaft hit it over big bumps .
with a bit of work an 02 ranger bumper can be used .
what will not fit is the rad from a 99 in a 96 , they are different sizes and shapes .
I used ranger brake parts ( cheaper ) , ranger starter and alternators ,shocks , and such.
As far as mechanical the mazda and ford are the same for any given year , ie a 96 ford and a 96 Mazda with a 3.0 are mechanically identical

i have a 94 ranger and a 94 b2300 cabs and chassis are the same. beds have different lines, as do the entire front clip. With that being said, i assume, all of these parts will interchange, but you will have to change it all.
ie: you would have to change the whole front clip of a b series to change the front grille assy, to a rangers. Now, the hoods appear very similar, but i did take the bug shield off of my ranger, painted it to match my mazda. I went to put it on. It fits, but not correctly. The mazdas hood is slightly more curved at the front where it mounts.

I have another dilema now. I just bought a wrecked b4000 with 71k on it the guy hit a tree. i think ythe fenders are ok, but the rest of the front clip will need to be replaced. Try finding a 98 b4000 at a salvage yard! i'm having 0 luck. So, my thoughts are ranger stuff, as they are plentifull. I may have to take a entire clip to make it work, not really sure about core support etc.
