Default Push Button 4x4

i have a 91 ranger that has the push button 4 wheel. I converted it from a 4 speed auto to a 5 speed manual. now the 4 wheel dont work. i think that it has something to do with the clutch triple function switch jumper and the backup/neutral safety switch that was in the system for the auto trans but dont know how to bypass that if or if i can?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Couple of questions first:
1. Are you using the ECM for an auto or a manual?
2. Is the CPP still bypassed with the factory plug, or hooked up to the clutch?
3. Did you swap the steering column from the auto to the manual?

The ECM on a '91 is behind the passenger side kick panel.

When you switched steering columns, what did you do with the neutral safety circuit?

You may want to check & trace the signal from the shift motor back to the switch.

Could be a bad shift motor, bad GEM, bad switch or wiring. Or as simple as a disconnected plug.

Alldata has good diagrams.

Still no good but the manual shift transfer case from 83 to 97 fits and worked great to fix my problem
