Torsion bar "pop" ?
Ive been living with this problem for a little while now, but i just cant stand it anymore. I drive a 2004 ford ranger edge 2wd w/ the torsion bar suspension. Everytime the drivers side front wheel goes over a large enough bump or dip, it feels as if something pops fairly loudly, almost like it is hitting the underside of the cab. Anyone ever experience this? ideas?

Re: Torsion bar "pop" ?
is this anything like a desk pop? jk
could be a ball joint clicking, or have you checked your sway bar? a loose sway bar or broken link could make a loud pop.

Re: Torsion bar "pop" ?
yeah if there is any lateral movement in the suspension even in a straight line you can get pop. even vertical movement of the suspension it can pop. my old 4runner had a frame bracket for the sway bar missing, when i hit even a small pot hole it would clank from the bar hitting the frame.

Perhaps you lost the rubber insert for the bumpstop?

Re: Torsion bar "pop" ?
No, its the pushing on the top of the end link bolt. No worries, cheapo at autozone. And yes, quality "other guys" reference.

Re: Torsion bar "pop" ?
helps the front end move a bit more when wheeling, i have my back one on now, cause i needed to limit the wheel travel a bit, but you will get more flex with them off.
