fuel shutoff switch replacement

I am trying to replace the fuel shutoff switch in my 2005 ranger. The kit came with a jumper wire. The instructions say to locate and attach the jumper wire to the vehicle body harness. I cannot figure out where to attach this wire. I was told I needed a pigtail to accomplish this which is a separate part not included in the kit. Has anyone replaced this switch and if so can you tell me how and where to attach this jumper wire? I have called several Ford repair places and no one can answer the question unless I take it in and let them do the repair. I have also tried several of the online question sites and have yet to find someone who can help. I would appreciate any information related to this installation.
