Default Transmition help

rangers are strong trucks motor wise but not tranny... i know 2 other ranger owners that have had problem with there trannys

my tranny has now been rebuilt twice and only 140,000 on truck, and its starting to slip again what is a cheep way to fix my problem with this obviously bad transmition

lucas for transmission..temporary but usually works. till it can be rebuilt..and look on bbb.com for a reputible trans repair shop!

Cheap and transmission work do not go hand in hand.

Get it rebuilt right and quit beating it to shit.

My trans on my 94 had 174k w/ no rebuilds. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Change the fluid at required intervals.

its has been rebuilt right, twice it was owned by my granfather who took care of it and that tranny went out on him too... i was thinkin bout buyin a used/salveged tranny and takin my chances

I often wondered why rebuilt trans were so fragile. I think it's the case that ultimately gets worn or ruined and becomes problematic, same failures occur no matter how many times the parts that failed are replaced. I would get a used unit, but your call on what you end up doing.
