Re: Heater and Air problems
Last fall my alternator basically burnt itself up. The lower half of the casing on the back of the alternator was just gone as well as some wiring and the 125 amp mega-fuse fried. It had to go to a dealer for the work to repair. About 30 days later that unit quit charging so the shop changed that one. I did not notice an air flow direction issue but all settings on the controls blew out of the defroster vents, now that it is 100 degrees plus....I noticed. I have been trying to find the problem for weeks to no avail. a few minutes ago I tried something I had not thought of before....the so called dealership mechanic had inverted the hoses on the canister. IDIOT. The canister is like a check valve, one direction flow only. Since it took me so long to find this problem I guess there are at least 2 idiots around here. I might have to take a dump in his front seat for that!!! Anyhow it was a cheap fix and something to think about.
