Cool Installing a handbrake in a 1996 XLT?

I'm planning on replacing my 60/40 seats with a pair of bucket seats in the front and I was wondering, is it possible to install a handbrake lever in the middle instead of the pedal off to the side under the dash? If the brakes fail I would be much quicker to grab a level in the center than get my foot up to that pedal, plus it would make for some fun drifting in the winter

Doing it in my truck with a hydro lever from eBay just going to the t into the rear brakes since I have a expo 8.8 with disks. And after over a year in the truck the ebrake stopped workin. Pedal rachets and everything it just doesn't engage anymore

Ah mine still has the stock drum brakes. I'll have to crawl around under there and see if it's possible to reroute the cable and look at levers in other cars at the local junkyard, maybe I can custom make something

It probably would be cheaper to install a Line-Lock on your hydrolic brake system
That way you can put the switch ANYWHERE

I've never heard of those. They use the existing brake lines running to the back?
