Default Gearbox removal

Hi all. I have a couple of ford rangers I am breaking, they’re the 2.5tdci 2007 and a 2009. I am trying to seperate gearbox and transfer box, they come apart about 50mm but then feels stuck and I don’t want to force anything just incase. Has anyone removed one before and if so is there something I am missing? Thanks a lot!

Even though you've got a UK spec truck, provided you've removed the shafts and all mounting bolts and any electrical connectors, there should be no reason why the transfer case wouldn't drop away from the transmission extension housing.
