Default Truck running a little rough after overheating

My truck overheated to the point where it shut itself off about a month ago. It had a major leak from a freeze plug. I replaced the freeze plug and even changed the spark plugs for the first time in it's 10 year, 77,000 mile life. The old ones looked horrible. It seems to run a little better, but it's still a little shaky when I come to a stop in drive. It seems to have full power otherwise. Could overheating have caused something else to make it run a little rough?

these 4.0 sohc motors have aluminum heads, they're bad about warping if you overheat them. might want to check into that.

Not sure how to tell if the heads are warped, but I'll check into that. I have also noticed that I'm losing coolant with no signs of where it's going. I've read that could be a head gasket leak, so maybe this is all related.

BINGO!!! there's your problem, you warped the heads. Causing them to leak. The only way to fix this is to re-build the top end of the motor. (mill the heads if possible, replace head gasket yadda yadda yadda.)

Yep u cant find the coolant leak because its leaking into your motor, which means you probably warped the heads or burn up a head gasket or intake gasket, which means if your driving it around then your ruining the bearings and heads in your motor because antifreeze is in it=NOT GOOD!

Its possible you just blew the head gasket depending on how how you got the motor. Try the head gasket first and see how that works for you. while you have the heads off. Take a straight edge and lay it on the back side of the head and see if it looks straight. Also before you yank both heads. pull all the spark plugs out of the motor and see which ones look to have been in contact with water. and also pressure check each cylinder.
