Default Re: A/C actuator???

The Actuator is a motor on the top of the duct work, behind the glove box on my 98. A current is passed from the a/c-heat temp guage on the dash to the actuator. This in turn moves the blend door between two inlet ducts (one heat, one cold) that in turn blends the air based on how you are setting it on the guage.

It is a common problem for the shaft that the actuator moves, and thus the door, to break. It is a pain to fix but there are tricks. Let me know if you still need to know.
