problem with cab mount
hey guys, i am not sure if this thread should go here so please bear with me.
i have a 94 ranger and the rear cab mount is gone. i have called around for a replacement and no one has one. ford says they are discontinued. so
other then making one myself (i dont have the equipment for it) and buying it online, what can i do? i have some pics to show what has happened. thanks for the tips guys.

oh hell, have you checked and yards?

search there for local yards that have this part.

yeah i called all my local yards and nothing. i might just put a large washer on either side of the bolt

this is what you should do. cut the nut off, lift up the rear carpet and remove the bolt. The actuall cab mount is still there, its just the underside that is effed. Purchase a new bolt with some BFW'ers. Go to MCsports or similar and buy a hockey puck. Drill the center for the bolt. Reinstall the bolt, slip on the puck, install washer, lock washer and nut. done.

Or if you know basic metal fab, you can make one.

Moved it for you.
You can probably find one in a junk yard, or weld a new plate on that one on top

ok, one more question guys... in the bottom pic i have up on here you will see that my front hanger for my leaf spring is not there (well kinda lol) i cut it off it was broke, one problem. how am i going to get a nut on a bolt through the frame when my tank is right there in the way. any ideas other than taking out tank or taking bed off?

I did this on my dads truck last fall. Also did all 4 on my truck, I dropped the tank. For my dads I welded in T-nuts. The just bolted the hanger up with 7/16 Grade 8 bolts. Otherwise, the tank should come out

yeah good idea, but one problem. i dont have a welder. so i guess i have to drop the tank. ehhh. not looking forward to that.
the way things have been going i would find something else i dont want to fix. this all started with me just wanting to replace the shocks. lol
